Highlights from Phase Two Cebu’s work in 2024 include:
- Five new houses completed on the CSC Happy Homes site so five new families will have safe and improved shelter.
- 10 new libraries started in 2024 bringing our grand total to 66.
- 19,000 books shipped in 2024 bringing our grand total to 90,000.
- Increased the number of supported university scholars from six to fourteen.
- Joel Reasoner started as Executive Director in Cebu in January, 2024 and helped our team in Cebu accomplish much this past year.
Looking ahead to 2025:
- Construction will begin soon on six more homes for employees of Children’s Shelter of Cebu at the very front of the CSC Happy Homes property. We have most of the funds for this project, but still need $27,250 to complete these 6 homes, put in drainage lines, and complete two new sections of fencing. Please help us get this project off the ground.
- Libraries: We are hard at work getting ready to ship about 11,000 books by the middle of February.
- Scholars: We will continue supporting our current 14 university scholars.
