New or gently used children’s books, any level from Pre-K through high school.
Types of books needed:
- Picture books
- Fiction books: any length, short or long chapter books
- Non-fiction (science, animals, space, technology, world history, geography, and so on)
- Biographies
- Short leveled reading books
Types of books we CANNOT use:
- Textbooks
- Coloring books
- American history
- Books that are strictly American culture specific
- Books in poor condition (with rips, missing pages, or have writing in them)
- Books about the paranormal, death, and gender identity (topics that are handled by the Department of Education in Philippine public schools).
Sponsoring a book drive
Sponsoring a book drive is a great way to engage people, whether you are looking to host at your workplace, your faith community, with your family or neighborhood. It is sure to bring people together and the books help youth and families in the Philippines.
